Lovely place with lovely people! I was referred here by my family doctor and from day 1 they had excellent communication and organization. I had my first assessment call with Dr. Witiuk which was lovely and very informative. From there we scheduled my appointment and due to my situation I was offered some anti anxiety meds and numbing. On day of appointment they got me in right away even though I was 20 minutes early. Unfortunately the doctor I talked to on the phone during my initial assessment was sick that day and had to be subbed out for someone equally as amazing, which she was. The procedure was less than 5 mins and I had 0 pain. Maybe some cramping during the measurement portion of the procedure, but everything else was super easy. The only negative I have was that during my initial phone call we decided on the anti anxiety med and numbing combo and it turns out I didn’t receive any numbing. I’m not too bothered tho because I didn’t feel the piercing of my cervix (reason for the numbing). Thank you to all the amazing people involved here!

Having had a cooper IUD experience that was less than pleasant, I was hesitant to get another. However, Dr.Baskerville and the staff at the clinic were incredibly helpful and accommodating of my schedule. Not only did I experience no pain, Dr. Baskerville was pleasant, calm, professional, and experienced. Such a different experience than my last IUD! Thank you!

Brilliant experience here, I went to have a contraceptive implant fitted, I also had a health screen and a smear test done. The nurses were very helpful and made me feel at ease. I would recommend this place

This is a fantastic clinic for women's reproductive health services provided by female health professionals. I went there for a pap smear and found the doctor to be efficient and evidence-based in not only providing the requested service but in making other recommendations that reflect recently adopted best pratcices and evidence. I then saw Dr. Sawatsky for prenatal care. She was vert knowledgeable about prenatal issues, compassionate, and easy to talk to.

I went to two other doctors previously trying to get my IUD removed, the strings were lost and they were both quite invasive and unsuccessful at attempting to remove it. Went here and the doctor was fantastic and got it out in seconds! Couldn’t be more relieved and happy with my visit. Thank you!

I had my IUD inserted today by Dr.Flyn and must say althought it was a bit painful she was amazing and managed to get it in all in one shot. I was allowed to relax afterwards and it was a good exprience. Will be back for the follow up.

I had an IUD inserted for the first time almost a week ago and feel compelled to write about my experience at this clinic. I was quite nervous about the procedure as I had heard many horror stories about IUD insertion, not just pertaining to pain but also to the doctor's level of professionalism. I first had a phone call consultation with Dr. Yurkowski, who did a great job answering any questions I had. Upon getting to the clinic on the day of insertion, the staff member I initially spoke with was very friendly. They then had me wait in a waiting room for Dr. McGruthers. All I have to say is that Dr. McGruthers is the real deal. She was very friendly, didn't make me feel rushed as I asked questions about the procedure itself and the aftercare, and was very realistic when it came to what I might experience - she said that what patients feel during insertion is variable and this kept my expectations in check. During the insertion itself she informed me of what she was doing every step of the way. For anyone wondering, yes, it was pretty painful, but over very quickly (I have definitely felt worse pain in my life!). One of the reasons I chose this clinic was because I wanted a doctor who had done this many times before. Of course there can always be complications with any medical procedure but thankfully I did not experience any and the process was very quick for me, and I have to say that Dr. McGruthers' skill and experience certainly contributed to this. I feel very blessed to have been assigned Dr. McGruthers as my physician for insertion and look forward to seeing her for my follow up appointment. Thank you for the great experience!

I was unsure about getting an IUD, and contacted the clinic. I was able to get a consult over the phone to ask a few questions about the process. Dr Baskerville was super friendly and welcoming, answering all my questions thoroughly. She walked me through the process, what to expect, and what I would need for the procedure. When I went in for my appointment, it was very easy process. The first thing they got me to do was a urine sample. After I was checked in, I was led to a room and waited there for my doctor. The wait time was quick, and once Dr. Baskerville entered the room, we had a discussion about my medical history, anything I was worried about, and then went through the procedure process one more time so that I was prepared for what was to come. I was very anxious, and she was very kind and took her time to make sure I felt comfortable enough to proceed with the procedure. The process itself was quite quick. The insertion itself felt like you get really bad cramps for like 30 seconds, and then it subsides. After the insertion, she checked to see how I was doing (pretty great at this point, just needed a moment to decompress) and left the room to give me privacy to dress, and then came back in to follow up on how I was feeling and if there was any concerns. I felt very confident leaving the IUD clinic, and super grateful I had Dr. Baskerville helping me. Some tips for fellow new iud friends: • Book a consult for more information if you are anxious like me! (Write down all your questions before you call, I tend to forget and freeze in the moment) • Taking some painkillers is recommended if you are sensitive to pain (please ask the doctor about which ones, as I didn't need to. It works the same way as when you're on your period!) • If you have benefits, it might be covered! (mine was 80% covered!)
